Maintenance
Tools needed
- Electric screwdriver
- Socket wrench / Box wrench
- Cleaning cloth / Cotton waste
- Detergent
- De-icer (Situational)
Step by step
1. Find the correct container and verify the identity of the sensor using Bintel Go, by scanning the QR code of the sensor.
The phone will vibrate on a successful scan, this makes it easier to scan the sensor in tight spaces with limited visibility.
In bad lighting conditions the torch can be activated to enable scanning of the QR code.
2. Is the container and sensor there?
If the container or sensor is lost, make a "Problem" report with the appropriate type in Bintel Go. No further maintenance can be performed.

3. Is the sensor correctly oriented towards the waste?
Adjust the mounting of the sensor and continue the guide.
4. Is the sensor securely fastened to the container?
Tighten or change screws or nuts if needed and continue the guide.
5. The sensor might have dirt, spider web or other stuff obstructing the sensor.
Service always includes cleaning of the sensor lens.
Don't use a material with abrasive effect, this might damage the sensor.
Spray the sensor with a detergent if it is dirty or a de-icer if it is outdoor and temperatures are below 0°C. Wipe the sensor lens with a cotton cloth, cotton waste or similar. The sensor lens is in the small dimple in the middle of the sensor. Continue the guide.

6. Report performed maintenance in Bintel Go
Using the "Report" feature in Bintel Go, make a new "Maintenance" report. Check all checkboxes that correspond to the maintenance that was performed, like "Cleaned" and/or "Mounting repaired".
